Jonathan M. Hoffman is a partner in our Real Estate Department. He is involved in all aspects of our commercial real estate practice. Jon has experience representing developers, owners and mangers of local and national properties in acquisitions, sales and finance as well as the leasing of office, retail, industrial, hotel, mixed-use and multi-unit residential properties. Jon represents local and national retailers and a variety of other businesses and entities including major health care institutions and entertainment, sports and philanthropic organizations. Jon’s experience includes retail and office leasing on behalf of landlords and tenants and financing transactions on behalf of borrowers and lenders. Jon has extensive experience in real estate workouts and restructurings and has been involved in the real estate aspects of major bankruptcy reorganizations. 

Jon frequently lectures at the International Council of Shopping Centers Law Conferences and has authored a number of articles published in Commercial Leasing Law and Strategy. Jon serves on the Advisory Board of First American Title Insurance Company of New York. Prior to joining us Jon practiced real estate law at a prominent New York City law firm. 
Jon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University in 1979 and his law degree from New York University School of Law in 1982.
