Joy Phanumas is a partner in our Real Estate Department. Joy has experience in a diverse range of commercial and residential real estate transactions including financing, commercial leasing, and residential and commercial sales and acquisitions. The size and complexity of the transactions run the gamut from residential purchase, sale and finance to large sophisticated commercial matters. 

Joy regularly represents institutional lenders and developers in financings of commercial properties and has been actively involved representing developers in the sales and acquisitions of commercial properties. She has significant experience representing regional landlords, corporate clients and national and regional retail tenants in leasing transactions throughout the United States.

Prior to joining us, Joy was an associate at a New York City law firm with a national real estate practice.

Joy earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1993 and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University in 1987. She is admitted to the New York Bar and is a member of the Asian American Bar Association and the Association of Real Estate Women.
