Matthew R. Armao is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department. Matthew represents businesses, financial institutions, and individuals in a broad array of complex commercial disputes, including matters relating to corporate and partnership disputes, real estate disputes, securities fraud, labor and employment law, bankruptcy litigation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and business torts.
Matthew received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was a staff editor of the New York University Journal of Law & Business. During law school, Matthew authored a published article entitled Reassessing The Second Circuit’s Expansion Of Criminal Insider Trading Liability In United States v. Blaszczak, 17 N.Y.U. J.L. & Bus. 443 (2021). Matthew was the recipient of the Flora S. and Jacob L. Newman Prize, which is awarded to the graduating student with the most outstanding note written for the New York University Journal of Law & Business. Following his 1L year, Matthew interned with the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Matthew received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University.
Matthew is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association.
