Robert S. Marshall, Jr. is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Real Estate Department.


Robert focuses his practice on leasing and construction matters, representing tenants, landlords, owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, trade contractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, designers, consultants and brokers.


He has represented clients in the leasing and construction of millions of square-feet of commercial, industrial and residential space across the country, including boutique and big-box retail stores, offices, trading floors, showrooms, data centers, bank branches, restaurants, bars, lounges, nightclubs, fitness centers, spas, salons, malls, shopping centers, sports stadiums, entertainment complexes, billboards and digital signage, telecommunications sites, parking garages, berthing facilities, museums, galleries, educational facilities, research laboratories, medical facilities, plants, factories, warehouses, distribution centers, office and residential towers, hotels, mixed-use buildings, cooperative and condominium units and townhouses.


Prior to joining the Firm, Robert was counsel in a mid-size law firm with one of the largest real estate departments in New York City.  Earlier in his career, Robert was associated with the New York office of a large international law firm where he represented clients in a broad range of real estate matters.


Robert is a member of the Construction Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association, the Real Estate Board of New York, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.  Robert has been honored on separate occasions as Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association for his considerable pro bono services.  He is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York.


Robert served in the United States Army Infantry and Military Police, where he was stationed abroad in Central America and Europe.  He is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and The American Legion.


He served as a Legislative Intern for the Honorable Susan Molinari, 13th Congressional District of the State of New York, as a Public Administration Intern for the Honorable William L. Murphy, District Attorney of Richmond County, and as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Charles A. Kuffner, Jr., Supreme Court of the State of New York.


Robert earned his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law and his Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from St. John’s University.


Robert is admitted to practice in the State of New York.  He is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
