June 2010: Alan Ederer, Partner and
Chair of the Firm's Corporate Department, was featured in the
Long Island Business News June 18 issue of "Who's Who in
Corporate Law." Congratulations, Alan!
May 2010: Mickee M. Hennessy, a
partner in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Workout Department
of Westerman Ball Ederer Miller & Sharfstein, LLP located in
Uniondale, New York, has been selected to be the in-coming Vice
Chair of the Bankruptcy Committee for the Nassau County Bar
Association.
March 2010:
Christopher Gorman has joined the Firm as an attorney in the
Firm's Litigation Department. Chris concentrates his practice in
all phases of commercial litigation in State and Federal Courts.
Chris has served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Gabriel W.
Gorenstein of the United States District Court for the Southern
District of New York. Chris is admitted to practice in New York
State, as well as the United States District Courts for the
Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Welcome, Chris!
January 2010:
Continental Home Loans, one of the largest originators of
residential home loans on Long Island, recently closed a
multi-million dollar debenture agreement with Ares Capital
Partners. Continental is a residential lender in over twenty
states and has numerous offices throughout the metropolitan
area. Richard Harrison, counsel to the Firm's Litigation
Department, represented Continental Home Loans in the
transaction.
Eric G. Waxman,
III,
a partner in the Firm's
Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department, will be serving as an
adjunct professor at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law
Center, teaching UCC Article 2 (sales) during the Spring 2010
semester.
