Matthew Root is an associate in the Firm’s Real Estate Department, concentrating primarily on commercial real estate leasing.  Matt has extensive experience representing regional and national retailers as well as internationally known name brand retailers in connection with their leasing of retail space in shopping centers, outlet malls, strip malls and stand-alone properties throughout the United States.  Additionally, Matt represents landlords and tenants in connection with their office and warehouse leasing.

Matt received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and earned his law degree from New York Law School where he was Editor of the Law Review.  Matt is admitted to the New York State Bar and the New Jersey State Bar.  Prior to attending law school, Matt was a B-52 navigator in the United States Air Force and was assigned to the 23^rd  Bombardment Squadron in Minot, North Dakota.
