The Firm offers a competitive salary for these positions. Attorney are offered a business origination participation program, and are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. CORPORATE ATTORNEY:
- Senior Corporate/M&A Associate. Requirements would be at least 8 years of experience and the ability to lead and manage transactions with minimal oversight and supervision. No book necessary. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
LITIGATION:
- Senior litigation attorneys 15+ years of seasoned experience in commercial litigation. No book necessary. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Experienced Mortgage/Foreclosure Litigator needed for complex sophisticated practice. Strong writing skills, able to work in a collaborative fast paced environment.
REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY:
- Mid to Senior level (5+ years): attorney with emphasis on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants (with retail leasing experience preferred). Candidate should have excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Mid to Senior level (5+ years): transactional attorney with lending/borrower side lender experience. Candidate should be someone who pursues their work with the utmost diligence, takes initiative, and works well in a collaborative environment. Strong writing skills are a must.
- Senior level attorney (15+): seasoned lawyer who has worked on complex commercial acquisition/disposition transactions as well as commercial financings. Should also have experience with drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements. Candidate should be someone who pursues their work with the utmost diligence, takes initiative, and works well in a collaborative environment. Strong writing skills is a must.
TRUSTS, ESTATES & FIDUCIARY LITIGATION ATTORNEY:
Litigator with experience in trust, estate and fiduciary litigation and commercial litigation. The position is ideal for a motivated attorney who has or wishes to develop a specialty in contested proceedings involving trusts, estates and guardianships including contested probate and administration proceedings, will construction proceedings, accounting proceedings, fiduciary removal proceedings and other sophisticated litigation involving a decedent’s affairs and business dealings.
Required credentials include:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the New York State bar.
- 5-8 year experience including: taking and/or defending depositions; appearing in court; drafting pleadings, motions and related submissions, and discovery demands and responses; conducting legal research; and trial preparation.
- preference will be given to candidates with meaningful experience litigating cases before both the Surrogate’s Court and the Supreme Court.
- Estate planning and administration knowledge will be considered a plus.
